KS4 Options
Pupils are offered the opportunity to select 3 different option subjects in Year 9, which they then will study in Year 10 and Year 11 (Key Stage Four) up to GCSE level or equivalent. Their option subjects will be studied in addition to our Core subjects (for all students): Religious Studies, English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science and Core PE (which is not examined).
We want all pupils to make informed choices for their Option subjects, supported by a deep knowledge-based experience at Key Stage Three (Years 7, 8 & 9). We, therefore, direct pupils towards subjects they enjoy, are good at, and which will help them on their future career path, and encourage them to discuss their choices with parents, subject teacher and Form Tutors.
