"I have come that they have life, and have it to the full". John 10:10

Pupil Premium

The Pupil premium is a sum of money the school receives for each student who is either in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM) or who has been in receipt of them in the past.

Nationally, the statistics show that students who are in receipt of FSM do less well than their peers in external exams. The aim of this money is to try to close that attainment gap.

We are required to publish how much Pupil Premium money we receive and how we have chosen to spend that money.

Please visit the downloads page to view a summary of how we have spent the money allocated, our plans for this Academic Year and the impact of this funding.

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2).

This money can be used for the funding of:

  • individual tuition
  • intensive small-group tuition
  • external services and materials, such as computer-based learning resources
  • summer schools that help students catch up over a short period of time.

Please visit the downloads page to see the impact of this funding for English and Maths.

A new website for our school is currently under

construction and will be available in the next few weeks.
